NAMM 2017: Rupert Neve Designs R10 - A 10-Slot Super Powered 500 Series Rack
February 06, 20171 min read
The most telling design feature of the R10, is that its’ 2400ma of internal power is more than TWICE that’s specified for the VPI-Spec for the 500 format. This is great for any power hungry units such as some double-wide modules. The unit is also double shielded to prevent hum that may be introduced when using a module that isn’t fitted with an external case.
Also the R10 has a very handy feature on the back of the unit. The R10 has XLR and TRS I/O. The TRS can be used, somewhat as a patch bay to re-configure the order of your modules. Link switches are included for each slot too.
No pricing available in Australia yet, however RND announced at NAMM that MAP price in the States would be US$ 899. Expect the R10 to start shipping mid February 2017.
