True-To-Original Spec Transformer

The WA-87 R2 utilizes a custom, true-to-spec American-Made CineMag output transformer. The transformer inside the WA-87 R2 adds a richness to the midrange and harmonic overtones to the mic that can only be heard on vintage microphones and the highest quality recreations.

Pro Recording Features

Each WA-87 R2 mic has three polar patterns (cardioid, figure-8, & omnidirectional) to meet the needs of a variety of recording situations. The variable pad (0dB, -10dB) allows the WA-87 R2 to manage variable SPLs and properly balance signal-to-noise for better raw recordings.
