The Genelec 8340A SAM is a 2-way, rear-ported active studio reference monitor, that replaces the Genelec 8240A speaker. The 8340A has a 6.5-inch woofer and 0.75-inch metal dome + DCW tweeter, that is powered by an extremely efficient Class D amplifier system. They also feature Genelec’s Iso-Pod stands, and there is a range of mounting options available. The 8340A speakers are part of the SAM rage - Smart Active Monitors. When coupled with the GLM software, the 8340A SAM speakers can be precisely tuned to acoustically match the space they are in.
