French synth company Arturia announced today the release of their latest innovation into the “BRUTE” family of instruments - DrumBrute. DrumBrute is a desktop sized drum machine, and like its predecessors, the Arturia DrumBrute is a fully analog small format synth at an extremely attractive price-point. DrumBrute, Arturia say, has been developed due to an overwhelming customer demand for them to develop a fully analog drum machine.
DrumBrute features a total of 17 analog sounds, that include two kick styles, snares, claps, two hats with tone and variable decay times, reverse cymbals and more! DrumBrute is designed to be an easy-to-use and intuitive product. Like other Brute instruments, DrumBrute looks to be designed to create music from performing. Inspiration can be drawn from the fun of it, as much as any other feature!
Other features include a step sequencer with 64 patterns with 64 steps each, a Steiner Parker output filter and twelve audio outputs for a range of recording and performing possibilities. DrumBrute is due to arrive in Australia at the the end of the year. You can, however, pre-order yours from Sounds Easy now. Stay tuned for more updates.
